Collins & Co. - Calm Collected Interiors

About me

I’m an interior stylist and the founder of Collins & Co — Calm, Collected Interiors. I create thoughtfully layered spaces that feel refined, effortless, and deeply livable. From no-demo renovations that completely refresh a home to full-scale transformations, each project is approached with clarity, restraint, and intention. Whether we’re reimagining a single room or redesigning your entire home, I guide you through the process in a way that feels calm, collaborative, and considered.

Experience

I’m a local designer with over ten years of experience in the design industry, specializing in luxury interiors and high-end staging. My background includes extensive knowledge of textiles and how to thoughtfully incorporate them into refined, layered spaces. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside luxury interior design and staging firms, developing a deep understanding of both beauty and functionality.

I love walking into a room, listening to your ideas, and helping curate them into a fully realized design. Not just something that looks beautiful—but a space that truly works for you. A place where you can exhale. A place that feels intentional, personal, and restorative.

I specialize in creating calming, mind-centered spaces, often working within soft, monochromatic palettes. Over the years, I’ve found that most people don’t need more visual noise—they need less. They need harmony. They need rooms that allow their minds to be still and their bodies to rest.

A First Glimpse Into Your Finished Space

The Original Space

My clients had just moved into their beautiful new-build home. On paper, everything was perfect — soaring 30-foot ceilings, stunning finishes, and generous square footage.

But something was missing.

They told me the room didn’t feel homey. It lacked warmth. Despite its beauty, the space felt cold and disconnected. So I was able to render my ideas for them to see what the final design would look like.

Adding Warmth & Softness

To begin transforming the space, I rendered floor-to-ceiling semi-transparent drapery. This immediately softened the architecture and added a sense of height without making the room feel stark.

I also layered in a more substantial rug to better anchor the existing furniture they wanted to keep. The larger scale brought balance, proportion, and cohesion to the room — grounding the space and making it feel intentional rather than floating..

Creating Architectural Continuity

Next, I added contemporary Asian-inspired oak slat detailing to the ceiling.

With 30-foot ceilings, the top of the room felt visually distant from the bottom. The ceiling detail helped bring that height down to a more human scale while maintaining the drama of the architecture.

By matching the wood tones of the ceiling detail to the flooring, I created continuity and visual flow throughout the space.

Bamboo Roman shades were layered in to add texture, depth, and much-needed privacy — enhancing both function and warmth.

Bridging the Vertical Space

Finally, I introduced a large contemporary alabaster chandelier.

This statement piece visually connects the ceiling to the living area below, marrying the negative space and creating balance within the room’s dramatic height.

When dimmed, the alabaster casts a soft, ambient glow — infusing the space with warmth and transforming it into the cozy, inviting environment my clients had envisioned.

What You Gain When You Work with a Stylist.

When you choose to work with me, you’re choosing clarity and peace of mind. I bring an experienced eye to every decision, ensuring the materials and finishes we select not only look beautiful together, but support the way your life naturally unfolds — today and as your family grows. The result is a space that feels both highly functional and quietly elevated, with the kind of thoughtful detail that comes from involving a designer from the very beginning.

What makes my approach different is the flexibility I offer. Rather than working within a traditional long-term design contract, you purchase a set number of dedicated design hours — whether that’s 8, 12, or 20 — based on the level of guidance you need. When those hours are complete, you can add more or pause until you’re ready for the next phase.

It’s a structured yet flexible model that gives you clarity, control, and steady expert direction — without overwhelm.
