One of my favorite design techniques is installing curtains higher and wider than the window frame. When drapery is mounted close to the ceiling — not directly above the window — it draws the eye upward and instantly makes a space feel taller and more expansive. It creates the illusion of architecture where there may not have been any. This single detail alone can dramatically elevate a room.
