Laurelhurst - The Blue Study

Project overview

This space marked the beginning of a full home design journey. The homeowner, an CEO who works from this room daily, envisioned a space where he could read, showcase his unique finds, and have a distinctive, stylish backdrop for Zoom meetings.

The project began with a wallpaper that truly resonated with him — a bold foundation that set the tone for everything that followed. From there, we collaborated with a custom woodworker to design and build a one-of-a-kind solid wood asymmetrical shelving system, thoughtfully layered over the wallpaper to create depth, function, and visual interest.

To complete the transformation, we color-drenched the entire room; walls, doors, baseboards, and even the ceiling in the same rich blue pulled from the wallpaper. This seamless application of color created an immersive, elevated atmosphere, turning the office into a standout space that feels both inspiring and deeply personal.
