Queen Ann - Scandinavian Home

Project overview

This project involved the design and execution of a new single-family home in a suburban Seattle neighborhood. With fast-paced city lives, the clients wanted their home to feel like a true sanctuary; calm, restorative, and removed from the energy of urban life.

We embraced a restrained palette of alabaster whites, warm linens, and layered neutrals, accented with subtle touches of black to ground the spaces. To add depth and warmth without compromising the serene atmosphere, the walls were finished in Venetian plaster, creating soft movement and texture. Custom floor-to-ceiling linen drapery enhances the sense of height and, when drawn, transforms the home into a cocoon-like retreat that feels miles away from the city.

Details

For this project, I helped curate the overall vision for each space, thoughtfully selecting custom curtains, plaster finishes, lighting, furniture, accessories, and bespoke shelving to create a cohesive and elevated design throughout.
