For this new build in Redmond, I worked with a couple in tech who brought me in to style their kitchen, living room, and bedroom. When I first walked through the doors, the home felt flat and lacking personality. The challenge was creating a balance between masculine and feminine elements—he gravitates toward black and gray, while she prefers beige and white.
We began by applying black Venetian plaster to the fireplace, creating a bold focal point that grounded the space and highlighted their custom abstract artwork. From there, I curated and sourced all bedding, accessories, rugs, furniture, and window treatments, carefully blending contrast and softness throughout each room.
The home has evolved naturally over time, and I continue to work with them, thoughtfully designing and refining the space room by room.
My contributions to this home included full interior styling for the main living areas and bedroom, along with sourcing and curating all furnishings and accessories. I selected and specified the window treatments, bedding, rugs, and lighting for both spaces, ensuring each element worked together cohesively. Every piece was thoughtfully chosen to balance contrast and softness while creating a layered, collected feel throughout the home.
