Project overview

This project started quite literally as a joke between the client and me. During our initial consultation, the client mentioned a room they simply didn’t know what to do with. As we walked through the home, they asked what I thought they should do with the space, and I jokingly replied, “You could always make it a sex room.”

Months later, the client brought the idea back to me—this time with a much more serious tone.

The vision was clear: a beautiful, relaxing, and sensual retreat that felt sophisticated rather than cheeky or cheap. From that conversation, the concept for The Red Room was born.

The goal was to create a space that embraced intimacy while still feeling elevated, intentional, and completely at home within the overall design of the house.
